North Carolina now funds private school for families at every income level, but the details sit in different places: award tiers in one NCSEAA PDF, income tables in another, the list of schools that can be paid in a third, and enrollment data in a federal survey. Charlotte Edu Funding puts those together for Mecklenburg, Union, Cabarrus and Gaston counties.
An advisor reviews every funding check and follows up by phone at (704) 323-5609 or email. Some schools and organizations partner with us; we label those relationships and they do not change what we recommend.
Where the school data comes from
The directory joins two bulk sources. The NCES Private School Survey (2023-24, with 2021-22 records for schools that did not respond) supplies 100 schools with address, grades, affiliation, program type, enrollment, teachers and association memberships. The NCSEAA Direct Payment Nonpublic Schools list for 2026-27, retrieved October 28, 2026, lists 134 schools in the four counties; we matched 70 of them to federal records by name and city with code and checked the near-misses by hand. The other 63 appear with name and city only. 30 federal-survey schools were not on the state list.
Award amounts and income tiers are NCSEAA's published 2026-27 figures; ESA+ rules come from NCSEAA's 2026-27 parent guide and Article 41 of Chapter 115C. Tuition is not reported in either source, and accreditation is not on the state list, so we do not show either. Spotted an error? Email hello@charlotteedufunding.com and we will check it against the source.
Boss Leads runs Charlotte Edu Funding. It has no tie to NCSEAA, any school or any government office.
