Can a Charlotte private school student take free college classes?

Yes. Central Piedmont describes Career & College Promise as a state-funded, tuition-free dual enrollment program open to North Carolina students from public, private, charter or home schools.

The four-county region is served by Central Piedmont (Mecklenburg), South Piedmont (Union), Rowan-Cabarrus (Cabarrus) and Gaston College, which markets its version to juniors and seniors as College Now. Each sets its own admission steps, so start with your school counselor.
