Christian Schools in East Charlotte, Plaza Midwood & the Albemarle Road corridor
3 christian schools in East Charlotte, Plaza Midwood & the Albemarle Road corridor; 2 are on the 2026-27 Direct Payment list. Charlotte's most culturally mixed side of town, home to both of the area's Islamic schools, a large Baptist K-12 campus and a Catholic parish school.
How this list was built. School details come from the NCES Private School Survey (2023-24, with 2021-22 records for schools that did not respond). The Direct Payment flag is our name-and-city match against the NCSEAA Direct Payment Nonpublic Schools list for 2026-27, retrieved October 28, 2026. Schools on the state list with no federal record show only their name and city. Tuition is not in either source; ask the school.
Funding note: Christian schools make up most of the region's Direct Payment list. A Tier 1 award of $7,942 can cover much of the bill at smaller church-run campuses; at the big K-12 schools it is one layer of several.
